The ACCUPRO EM99943860 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precision chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This single-end tool features a 1/2-inch cutter head diameter, four flutes, and a right-hand cutting direction for compatibility with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. The AlTiN coating delivers elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in high-speed cutting applications. With an overall length of 3 inches and a 1/2-inch shank diameter, it mounts directly in standard end mill holders. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians working in production environments will find this chamfer mill well suited to consistent, repeatable edge finishing.
This chamfer mill is appropriate for use on machining centers handling ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless, and similar materials where an AlTiN-coated carbide substrate provides thermal and wear advantages. The single-end geometry makes it a straightforward drop-in for typical chamfering routines in job shop and production settings. A length of cut of 0.364 inches accommodates standard chamfer depths across a wide range of part geometries. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or dry cutting practices apply depending on the material and feed parameters selected.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chamfer mill suitable for use in standard 1/2-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and similar tool-holding systems on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications before spindle engagement. No coolant-through ports are present on this tool, so configure the machine for external coolant delivery or dry cutting as appropriate for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised to prevent workpiece damage or spindle loading issues.
