The ACCUPRO EM99943857 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for deburring, chamfering, and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built with a 0.25 inch cutter head diameter and three flutes, it delivers clean, consistent chamfered edges in a single pass. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, making the tool well-suited to high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a 0.25 inch shank diameter, this single-end mill fits standard toolholders found on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this geometry when precision edge preparation is required.
This chamfer mill is appropriate for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual milling machines in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. It is sized for light to medium-duty chamfering on steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The 0.158 inch length of cut suits shallow chamfer profiles and countersinking of small features. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. No coolant-through capability means it is best applied with flood, mist, or dry cutting strategies at the machine exterior.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation chamfer mill for standard 0.25 inch shank toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet or set screw is torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting geometry of this tool before engaging the workpiece.
