The ACCUPRO EM99943848 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for deburring, chamfering, and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The cutter head measures 3/8 inches in diameter with a 3/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.5 inches. Three right-hand flutes provide clean chip evacuation and consistent cutting geometry. The AlTiN coating delivers elevated heat resistance, making this tool suitable for dry cutting and high-speed applications. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, or toolrooms are the primary installers and users of this tool.
This chamfer mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where edge chamfering and countersinking tasks are required. With a 0.229-inch length of cut and a single-end configuration, it is well matched for light to medium chamfering passes on steel, stainless, cast iron, and aluminum. It is particularly effective in applications where tool life under heat is a priority, such as high-cycle production runs without coolant.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement chamfer mill compatible with standard 3/8-inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm concentricity. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 0.229-inch cutting length, as overloading a chamfer mill can cause chipping or tool fracture.
