The ACCUPRO EM95991601 is a miniature square end mill designed for precision milling operations in tight geometries and fine-detail work. Built from ultra micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TiAlN coating, this tool delivers high wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. It features a 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle, a 0.0160-inch (1/64 inch) cutting diameter, and a 0.0300-inch (1/32 inch) length of cut. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into workpieces. Machinists and toolroom operators in manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, and mold-making environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for micro-milling applications where small-diameter tooling is required on CNC machining centers or high-speed milling machines. The 1/8-inch shank diameter provides a common collet fit for most standard toolholding systems. The 1.5000-inch overall length keeps the tool compact for rigidity, which is critical at this scale. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and light plunge milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, hardened steels, and difficult-to-machine alloys where tool life and dimensional accuracy are priorities.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed milling machines equipped with standard 1/8-inch collet toolholding systems capable of accommodating miniature end mill diameters.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine fully powered down and spindle stopped. Use a calibrated torque wrench and appropriate collet nut wrench when seating the shank to ensure concentricity and prevent runout at this diameter. Miniature carbide end mills are brittle — avoid side loading during tool changes and verify runout with an indicator before production cuts. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommended speeds and feeds for ultra micrograin carbide at this diameter range.
