The ACCUPRO EJ04200000MSC is a taper drill chuck arbor designed to connect a Jacobs Taper 2 (JT2) drill chuck to a machine spindle with a No. 4 Morse Taper (4MT) shank. The arbor serves as the mechanical interface between the chuck and the spindle, transmitting torque and maintaining concentricity during drilling operations. With an overall length of approximately 5.94 inches (151 millimeters), this arbor fits standard toolroom, drill press, and milling machine setups where a 4MT spindle is present. Installation and removal are handled by machinists, tool room technicians, and maintenance tradespeople working with metal-cutting equipment.
This chuck arbor is suited for use in drill presses, lathes, and milling machines equipped with a No. 4 Morse Taper spindle bore. It accepts any JT2-mount drill chuck, making it a practical replacement or spare for production and maintenance shops. The tapered shank seats directly into the machine spindle without fasteners, relying on the self-holding geometry of the Morse Taper for secure tool holding during moderate-speed drilling applications.
Designed as a direct-fit arbor for machine spindles with a No. 4 Morse Taper bore and drill chucks with a JT2 (Jacobs Taper 2) mount interface.
A licensed machinist or qualified tool room technician should install this arbor. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before seating or removing the arbor. Clean both the spindle bore and the arbor shank taper thoroughly before insertion to ensure full contact and prevent fretting. Use a soft-faced mallet and a proper drift rod in the spindle drift slot for removal - never apply lateral force to the arbor body.
