The ACCUPRO ED99921216 is a single-end square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking applications. Built from powdered metal with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, it delivers improved wear resistance and surface hardness compared to standard high-speed steel tooling. The cutter measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 2.5-inch length of cut and an overall length of 4.625 inches. Three spiral flutes at a 42-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling as well as conventional side milling. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, alloy steel, and similar ferrous materials in both manual and CNC machining centers. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for vertical machining centers and knee mills. The 0.625-inch shank diameter fits directly into standard ER or end mill holders sized for 5/8-inch tooling. It is appropriate for roughing and semi-finishing passes in general-purpose metalworking where TiCN-coated powdered metal tooling is specified over uncoated or cobalt alternatives.
Designed as a standard 5/8-inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and other toolholding systems accepting a 0.625-inch shank diameter in vertical or horizontal machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the set screw or collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to confirm proper seating and minimize tool deflection.
