The ACCUPRO ED99921215 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling ferrous and non-ferrous materials in machining center and manual mill applications. Built from powdered metal and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, it delivers increased surface hardness and wear resistance compared to standard high-speed steel tooling. The 42-degree spiral helix and three-flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a smooth cut finish. With a 0.625-inch cutting diameter and a 1.625-inch length of cut, this end mill suits slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations where a short-to-medium reach tool is appropriate.
This end mill is intended for use in production and job-shop environments where powdered metal tooling is specified over solid carbide for cost-efficiency on lower-hardness workpieces. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, supporting ramping and plunge-milling operations without a pre-drilled entry hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. Typical installers are CNC machinists and manual mill operators working in metalworking, tool-and-die, and general fabrication settings.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 5/8-inch shank square end mill applications in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting 5/8-inch straight-shank toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill setup procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. The shank should be seated to the full recommended depth in the toolholder collet or end mill holder, and runout should be verified before cutting. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
