The ACCUPRO E999921215 is a 3-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in a wide range of metalworking applications. Manufactured from powdered metal, this single-end tool features a 5/8-inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8-inch length of cut, and a 3-7/8-inch overall length. The 42-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The uncoated finish makes it well suited for use in lower-hardness materials or where lubrication is applied at the machine. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this style of end mill for slotting, profiling, and contouring cuts.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, knee mills, and manual or CNC milling equipment where a 5/8-inch straight shank is accepted. The centercutting geometry allows it to plunge directly into a workpiece, expanding its range of suitable operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional milling setups. The 3-flute design balances chip clearance with surface finish, making it a practical choice for slotting in softer steels, aluminum alloys, and similar materials. It ships in a quantity of one per package.
Designed for use in milling machines and machining centers accepting a 5/8-inch straight shank. Suitable for slotting, profiling, and plunge operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials consistent with powdered metal tooling capability.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The tool must be secured in a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 5/8-inch shank diameter before spindle engagement. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to minimize premature tool wear. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling, and confirm that feed rate and spindle speed are set to values appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
