The ACCUPRO CY01311000MSC is a keyed drill chuck designed for threaded-mount spindles with a 5/8-16 thread size. It accepts round-shank drill bits and tooling ranging from 3/64 inch (0.0591 inch) up to 1/2 inch (0.5000 inch) in diameter. The chuck body is steel construction with a plain bearing and a 46 mm sleeve diameter. Closed length measures approximately 77 mm and open length measures approximately 62 mm. This chuck is tightened and released using the included K2 key, making it a standard fit for stationary and benchtop drilling applications where repeatable grip and positive tool retention are required. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trades commonly use keyed chucks on drill presses for sheet metal, copper tube, and conduit work.
This drill chuck is suited for use on drill presses, milling machines, and other threaded-spindle equipment that accept a 5/8-16 threaded mount. The 1/2 inch maximum capacity covers the wide range of twist drills, step bits, and hole saws encountered in general trade fabrication and service work. The plain bearing design keeps the assembly compact and serviceable in shop and field environments alike. Installation is straightforward for machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and skilled trade technicians who maintain their own shop equipment.
Designed as a direct-mount replacement or upgrade chuck for drill presses and threaded-spindle machines accepting a 5/8-16 threaded mount interface.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with machine tool spindle assemblies. Before mounting or removing the chuck, power down and lock out the machine per standard lockout/tagout procedures. Thread the chuck onto the spindle by hand first to confirm proper thread engagement, then snug securely according to the equipment manufacturer's guidance. Do not use the chuck key as a lever to overtighten the body onto the spindle.
