The ACCUPRO C931-10150 is a solid carbide internal helical flute thread mill designed for cutting metric coarse internal threads in machining applications. It features a 4-flute, right-hand flute geometry with a TiAlN coating for heat and wear resistance. The cutting diameter measures 0.3 inches (7.62 mm), the shank diameter is 5/16 inches (8.00 mm), and the length of cut is 0.75 inches. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool maintains edge integrity at elevated cutting temperatures and is suited for use in CNC machining centers where thread milling is preferred over tapping.
This thread mill is intended for cutting M10 x 1.50 metric coarse internal threads. It is well suited for job shops, aerospace component manufacturing, medical device machining, and general precision metalworking environments. Thread milling is commonly chosen over tapping when working with hard materials, blind holes requiring full thread depth at the bottom, or applications where a single tool must handle multiple thread sizes by adjusting the toolpath. A licensed machinist or CNC programmer typically selects and programs this tool for the appropriate helical interpolation cycle.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation, with a 5/16-inch (8.00 mm) shank compatible with standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, or hydraulic toolholders of the appropriate bore size.
Installation and programming should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer familiar with helical interpolation thread milling cycles. Ensure the spindle and axis drives are fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading the tool into the holder. Verify runout at the toolholder after installation, as excessive runout will degrade thread quality and shorten tool life. Consult the machine tool builder documentation and applicable shop safety procedures before operation.
