The ACCUPRO B3601250R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron-grade solid carbide, designed for internal boring operations requiring a controlled corner radius profile. It cuts right-hand direction and handles minimum bore diameters starting at 0.36 inches, with a maximum bore depth of 1.25 inches. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it well-suited for compact setups on CNC lathes and boring machines. A bright finish coating is applied to the flute and shank. Corner radius range runs from 0.005 to 0.008 inches, giving machinists precise control over internal corner geometry on finished bores.
This boring bar is intended for use in precision machining environments where internal bore finish and corner radius accuracy are critical. Typical applications include producing close-tolerance bores in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces on CNC turning centers or manual lathes. The submicron carbide grade supports demanding cuts where tool wear resistance and edge retention are priorities. It is selected by machinists, toolroom operators, and job shop technicians working on components that require consistent internal geometry across production runs.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or toolroom addition for standard 3/8-inch boring bar holder setups used in CNC turning and manual lathe applications requiring right-hand internal corner radius cutting.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool turret or holder is locked before inserting or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the boring bar holder to the holder manufacturer's specified clamping torque using appropriate tooling screws. Verify tool centerline height and overhang before beginning a cut to avoid chatter or premature edge failure.
