The ACCUPRO B3201600R is a corner radius boring bar designed for internal diameter finishing and semi-finishing operations on machined components. Manufactured from submicron solid carbide with a bright finish coating, it delivers superior wear resistance and edge retention compared to standard carbide grades. The right-hand cut geometry suits conventional CNC and manual boring setups. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.6 inches, this bar handles tight-tolerance bores in a wide range of workpiece materials. A 3/8-inch shank diameter and 3-inch overall length make it compatible with standard boring bar holders found in most machine shops.
This boring bar is suited for use in CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, and manual boring mills where corner radius control is required on internal features. The 0.0050 to 0.0080 inch corner radius range allows machinists to produce clean, controlled radii at the base of bored features, reducing stress concentrations in finished parts. It is a practical choice for job shops and production environments working in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar machinable materials where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 3/8-inch boring bar holders used in CNC turning centers, machining centers, and conventional boring setups requiring corner radius geometry.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with boring bar setup and tool holding practices. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the recommended clamping depth to minimize overhang and reduce chatter risk. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the boring bar. Verify bore diameter and depth clearance before initiating a cut to prevent tool or workpiece damage.
