The ACCUPRO B3201250R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal turning and boring operations in CNC and manual machining environments. Built from submicron solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance bore finishing. The bar has a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches, a maximum bore depth of 1.25 inches, and a shank diameter of 3/8 inches. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids in chip evacuation. Right-hand cutting geometry makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation conventions. Machinists and tooling technicians install this bar in boring head setups or tool holders to achieve controlled, repeatable bore geometry with a corner radius range of 0.0050 to 0.0080 inches.
This boring bar is suited for precision metalworking applications where corner radius control is critical to part geometry. Typical use cases include finishing bores in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a sharp corner blend or controlled radius transition is required at the bore floor. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a compact shank diameter of 3/8 inches, it fits standard boring bar holders used in production and job-shop environments. It is appropriate for both manual lathes and CNC turning centers where the depth of cut and corner profile must be held to close tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling fit for boring bar holders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter in CNC turning centers and manual lathes.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully in the boring bar holder to the manufacturer-recommended clamping depth before engaging the workpiece. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or indexing tooling. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 1.25 inches, as overhanging the bar beyond its rated depth reduces rigidity and increases the risk of chatter or tool failure.
