The ACCUPRO B1801100R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal machining operations. Built from submicron solid carbide with a bright finish, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for tight-tolerance bore work. The bar handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.18 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.1 inches. With a 1/4-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard toolholders used on manual and CNC lathes and boring mills. The right-hand cutting direction suits conventional setup configurations. Machinists and toolroom operators select this bar when a controlled corner radius between 0.005 and 0.008 inches is required at the base of a bore.
This boring bar is suited for precision machining of small-diameter bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a defined corner radius is part of the finished part print. Typical applications include internal diameter finishing, stepped bore relief cutting, and feature generation in close-tolerance workpieces on CNC turning centers, manual lathes, and jig boring machines. The submicron carbide grade supports use in production environments where consistent tool life and dimensional repeatability are required across multiple parts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling selection for 1/4-inch shank boring bar toolholders used on CNC turning centers, manual lathes, and boring mills accepting that shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the 1/4-inch shank in the appropriate toolholder and verify clamping torque per machine builder specifications before running. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or adjusting the boring bar. Confirm bore diameter and depth clearances against the part program or setup sheet prior to cutting to avoid tool or workpiece damage.
