The ACCUPRO B120250R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron solid carbide and designed for internal boring operations requiring a controlled corner radius profile. Built for right-hand cutting, it features a minimum bore diameter of 0.12 inches and accepts maximum bore depths of 0.25 inches. The 3/16-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length make it suited for small-bore applications where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are essential. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. Machinists use this bar in CNC lathes and manual turning centers where tight tolerances on internal corner geometry are required.
This boring bar is used in precision turning applications across production machine shops, tool rooms, and maintenance facilities. It is appropriate for small-diameter internal features in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The corner radius range of 0.005 to 0.008 inches allows finishing of fine internal profiles where sharp corners must be avoided to reduce stress concentration or meet part print requirements. Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine before seating the bar in the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully clamped and the bar is set on centerline to maintain bore geometry. Avoid excessive overhang beyond the toolholder to reduce chatter and protect the carbide from fracture.
