The ACCUPRO B100300R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal machining operations requiring a controlled radius at the base of a bore. Manufactured from submicron solid carbide, it delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to standard carbide grades. The bright finish coating reduces friction and helps maintain dimensional accuracy during cuts. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.1 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.3 inches, this bar is sized for small-diameter, high-precision work. A corner radius range of 0.003 to 0.005 inches allows fine control over the fillet geometry at the bore floor. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC lathes and boring machines are the primary users.
This boring bar is suited for small-bore internal turning and finishing operations in precision machining environments, including job shops, toolrooms, and production facilities. It is applicable to ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight dimensional tolerances and a consistent corner radius are required. The right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard right-hand boring setups on conventional and CNC lathes. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 1.5 inches, it fits toolholders sized for miniature and micro boring applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit for toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter boring bar in right-hand cutting configurations on CNC and manual lathes.
This boring bar is installed by machinists familiar with internal turning and boring operations on CNC or manual lathes. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the bar from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped securely in the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified holding depth to prevent deflection. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping before each use, as submicron carbide, while highly wear-resistant, is brittle and sensitive to improper handling or interrupted cuts.
