The ACCUPRO ACC -T180500 is a solid carbide single point threading tool designed for internal thread cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It handles a minimum thread diameter of 0.18 inches and cuts threads from 18 to 56 TPI, covering a wide range of unified and metric-style thread forms with a 60-degree profile angle. The cutting depth reaches 0.5 inches, and the tool projects 0.04 inches from the edge. With a bright, uncoated solid carbide construction, this insert-style tool delivers consistent thread geometry in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use it for precision internal threading in production and repair applications.
This threading tool is suited for internal threading operations in both production shops and job shops running small-diameter bores. The 1/4-inch shank and 2.5-inch overall length make it compatible with standard boring bar holders and small-bore threading setups. The 18 to 56 TPI range covers common fastener thread pitches used in mechanical assemblies. No coolant-through capability means it is best applied in lighter-duty cuts or with external flood coolant delivery where required.
Designed as an OEM-style single point threading tool for use in standard 1/4-inch shank boring bar holders and threading tool blocks on CNC and manual turning equipment.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with lathe tooling and threading operations. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is de-energized before inserting or adjusting the tool. Verify tool centerline height and shank clamp torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before cutting. Follow the machine shop safety standards and the equipment manufacturer guidelines when setting depth of cut and feed rate for threading operations.
