The ACCUPRO ACC-RXL14 is a left-hand, convex radius cutting tool bit designed for lathe and turning operations where a precise radiused form is required. Built in the RXL style, this carbide-tipped bit produces a 7/16 inch convex radius on the workpiece. The overall length is 4.5 inches, with a 0.75 inch long tip and a tip thickness of 0.1875 inches. The 0.75 inch square shank provides rigid, secure seating in a standard tool post or holder. The carbide tip material offers hardness and wear resistance suited for ferrous and non-ferrous stock across a range of cutting conditions.
This bit is intended for use on manual and CNC lathes where a convex radius form is cut in a single pass or finish pass. Left-hand orientation means the tool cuts toward the tailstock. Typical applications include turning ball-end profiles, round-over transitions, and decorative or functional convex forms on shafts, pins, and cylindrical workpieces. Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople working in job shops, maintenance machining, or production turning operations are the primary users of this style of form tool.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit form tool bit for lathes and turning centers accepting a 0.75 inch square shank tool holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the lathe spindle before seating or removing any tool bit. Secure the square shank firmly in the tool post or holder to prevent chatter and tool pull-out during the cut. Verify correct left-hand orientation and tool height relative to centerline before beginning the cut.
