The ACCUPRO ACC-RC625080 is a single point tool bit designed for cut-off and grooving operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a micrograin solid carbide tip brazed to a steel shank, delivering the edge retention and wear resistance required for consistent performance on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The shank measures 5/8 inches wide by 5/8 inches tall, with an overall length of 4 inches. A right-hand cutting direction and RC-style geometry make this bit a direct match for standard RC toolholders used in production turning and job-shop environments. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This tool bit is suited for cut-off and grooving work on lathes in both production and job-shop settings. The RC style and right-hand orientation match common quick-change and fixed-block toolpost holders equipped for single point bits. It is appropriate for light to moderate-duty grooving on a range of workpiece materials where micrograin carbide tip geometry provides the necessary edge stability. The 0.080-inch tip thickness suits narrow groove and parting applications where controlled chip formation matters.
Designed as an OEM-style single point tool bit for use in RC-style toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch shank in right-hand cutting configurations.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the lathe before seating the bit in the toolholder. Ensure the tip is set at the correct centerline height for the workpiece before securing the toolholder clamp screws. Inspect the carbide tip for chips or cracks before each use and do not regrind micrograin carbide tips without appropriate diamond wheel equipment.
