The ACCUPRO ACC-HB2101500 is a helical boring bar ground from submicron-grade solid carbide and designed for right-hand cutting in small-diameter internal bore applications. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.21 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches, it handles tight-tolerance holes where rigidity and edge stability are critical. The 0.25-inch shank diameter fits standard boring bar holders, and the 2.5-inch overall length keeps the tool compact in confined setups. A bright finish coating is applied, leaving the carbide substrate exposed for direct inspection. Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople typically run this bar on CNC lathes and machining centers requiring precision internal diameters.
This boring bar is suited for small-bore finish and semi-finish operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a helical geometry improves chip evacuation and reduces chatter. The right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with conventional spindle rotation on standard turning and milling equipment. It is well matched to production environments running tight-tolerance bores in the 0.21-inch-and-up range where a solid-carbide tool provides the deflection resistance that brazed or indexable tools cannot achieve at this bore diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for CNC lathe and machining center boring bar holders accepting a 0.25-inch shank diameter with right-hand cutting orientation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting or removing the boring bar from the holder. Confirm that the tool holder bore and set-screw torque meet the machine manufacturer's specifications before initiating a cut. Avoid side-loading the bar beyond the rated bore depth, as overhang beyond recommended depth-to-diameter ratios increases deflection and risk of tool breakage.
