The ACCUPRO ACC-HB020062 is a helical boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations requiring extremely small bore diameters. Manufactured from submicron-grade solid carbide, this bar provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed to hold tight tolerances in hard or abrasive workpiece materials. It features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.02 inches, a maximum bore depth of 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch), a 1/8-inch shank diameter, and an overall length of 1.5 inches. The bright, uncoated finish is standard. Machinists and tool and die specialists working on micro-bore applications in CNC lathes or boring mills are the primary users of this tool.
This boring bar is suited for small-diameter internal turning and boring operations in precision machining environments. Its submicron carbide construction makes it appropriate for hardened materials and applications where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. Typical install scenarios include production shops, tool rooms, and job shops performing micro-bore work on components such as nozzles, bushings, or small hydraulic fittings. The 0.02-inch minimum bore diameter makes it one of the smaller-diameter options available for helical-style boring bars.
Designed for use in tool holders and boring heads that accept a 1/8-inch round shank boring bar, common in CNC lathes, manual lathes, and small boring mills configured for precision internal turning operations.
This boring bar is installed and set by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or adjusting the bar in its holder. Ensure the shank is properly clamped with adequate contact length to minimize deflection at this small diameter. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 0.0625 inches specified for this tool, as overextension may cause tool breakage.
