The ACCUPRO ACC-GF187-16 is a full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations in machined bores. Constructed from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers consistent edge retention and dimensional accuracy in demanding cutting applications. The tool features a 0.1880-inch groove width and a 1/2-inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 3.0 inches and a projection of 0.160 inches. It is suited for machinists and toolroom operators working on precision components that require clean, full-radius internal grooves.
This grooving tool is applied in CNC turning and boring operations where internal groove profiles must meet tight tolerances. It is appropriate for use in minimum bore diameters starting at 0.500 inches and can reach a maximum hole depth of 1.0 inch. Typical applications include groove cutting in hydraulic components, bushings, bearing bores, and precision-machined housings across light manufacturing and job shop environments.
Designed for use in standard 1/2-inch bore toolholders on CNC lathes and boring machines where full radius internal grooving is required in bores with a minimum diameter of 0.500 inches.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists in compatible 1/2-inch shank toolholders on CNC turning centers or manual lathes. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or changing tooling. Confirm shank seating and holder torque specifications per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines before initiating a cut. Verify bore clearance meets the minimum hole diameter requirement before engaging the tool.
