The ACCUPRO ACC-GF187-12 is a full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations in machined bores. Constructed from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers consistent edge retention and dimensional accuracy in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features a 0.188-inch groove width and a 0.5-inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 3.0 inches. A 0.160-inch projection supports clean groove formation at depth. This tool is used by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC lathes and manual turning equipment where precision internal grooves are required.
The ACC-GF187-12 is suited for internal grooving and undercutting applications in production and job shop environments. It accommodates bores with a minimum hole diameter of 0.5 inches and reaches a maximum hole depth of 0.75 inches. The full radius profile makes it appropriate for snap ring grooves, retaining ring seats, and similar circular relief cuts in turned components. It is packaged individually and sold as a single unit.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped securely in the tool holder before operation. Verify bore diameter and depth clearances against the tool projection and maximum hole depth specifications before starting the cut. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tools can fail suddenly if damaged.
