The ACCUPRO ACC-GF125-8 is a full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations on machined bores and recesses. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for precise, repeatable groove profiles in demanding production environments. The tool features a 1/2 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 3 inches, with a projection of 0.1600 inches that controls cutting reach into the bore. It is suited for machinists and toolroom professionals working with CNC lathes and manual turning equipment where accurate internal groove geometry is required.
This grooving tool is intended for internal grooving applications in bores with a minimum hole diameter of 0.5000 inches. The maximum hole depth capacity is 0.5000 inches, making it appropriate for shallow to mid-depth groove work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The full radius profile produces a smooth, radiused groove floor without secondary finishing operations. Typical installations include toolholding setups on CNC turning centers in job shop, production machining, and precision manufacturing environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grooving tool for standard 1/2 inch bore toolholders used in CNC turning and manual lathe applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in a locked-out, de-energized state before changing tooling. Secure the 1/2 inch shank in a compatible toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure. Verify projection and runout before returning the machine to service.
