The ACCUPRO ACC-GF087-4 is a full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and boring applications. Constructed from submicron solid carbide, it delivers consistent cutting performance in tight bore geometries. The tool features a 3/8 inch shank diameter, a 0.088 inch groove width, and a projection of 0.11 inches, making it well suited for shallow, precision grooves in small-diameter bores. Machinists and tooling technicians use this tool when groove profile accuracy and surface finish are critical requirements in production or job-shop environments.
The ACC-GF087-4 is appropriate for use in both production machining and precision job-shop work where internal full radius grooves are required. It is suited to applications involving a minimum hole diameter of 0.375 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.25 inches. The overall tool length of 2.5 inches provides adequate reach for typical internal grooving setups on standard CNC turning centers and manual lathes with live tooling capability.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC lathes and turning centers accepting 3/8 inch shank grooving tools with a minimum bore entry of 0.375 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC lathe setup procedures. Secure the shank fully in a compatible toolholder and verify projection does not exceed the rated 0.11 inches before engaging the workpiece. Confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing or adjusting tooling.
