The ACCUPRO ACC-GF062-6 is a full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and boring applications. Constructed from submicron solid carbide, it delivers precise groove geometry with a 0.0630-inch groove width and a 3/8-inch shank diameter. The full radius profile produces a clean, radiused groove bottom in a single pass, reducing the need for secondary finishing. Machinists and toolroom professionals use this tool where tight tolerances and consistent groove form are required in production or job-shop environments.
This grooving tool is suited for internal grooving in bores with a minimum hole diameter of 0.3750 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.3750 inches. The 0.1100-inch projection and 2.5-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow internal groove applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is intended for use by machinists operating manual or CNC turning equipment where solid carbide tooling is specified for accuracy and tool life.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch shank boring bar and grooving tool holders on CNC or manual lathes. Minimum bore entry diameter of 0.3750 inches required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or adjusting the tool. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the holder manufacturer specified clamping requirements to prevent deflection during the cut. Verify bore clearance meets the minimum hole diameter specification before engaging the tool.
