The ACCUPRO ACC-GF062-12 is a full radius grooving tool manufactured from submicron-grade solid carbide. It is designed for internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The tool features a 3/8 inch shank diameter and cuts a groove width of 0.0630 inches. The submicron carbide grade delivers higher wear resistance and edge retention compared to standard carbide, making it well suited for precision grooving in tight-tolerance applications. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this tool in boring bar-style holders for internal groove cutting on bores as small as 0.3750 inches in diameter.
This grooving tool is used in precision machining environments including job shops, production turning cells, and toolroom operations. It handles internal grooving on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where consistent groove profile geometry is required. The full radius profile produces a clean, radiused groove bottom in a single pass. Maximum hole depth capacity is 0.7500 inches, with a projection of 0.1100 inches. Overall tool length is 2.5 inches, fitting standard toolholders used on most CNC and manual lathes.
Designed as a direct-fit internal grooving tool for use with standard 3/8 inch shank boring bar-style toolholders on CNC lathes and manual turning centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Secure the shank in a compatible toolholder and torque to the holder manufacturer's specification before use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before mounting or removing the tool. Do not exceed the rated maximum hole depth or minimum bore diameter to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
