The ACCUPRO ACC-GF039-16 is a solid carbide full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving and undercutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built from submicron carbide grade material, it delivers consistent edge integrity and extended tool life in demanding production environments. The tool features a 3/8 inch shank diameter, a 0.0400 inch groove width, and an overall length of 2.5 inches. It is suited for machinists and tooling professionals working with tight tolerances in bore grooving applications where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This grooving tool is intended for use in internal grooving applications with a minimum hole diameter of 0.3750 inches and a maximum hole depth of 1.0000 inch. The 0.1100 inch projection and 1.2000 inch shank length provide the reach and rigidity needed for consistent chip clearance and groove geometry in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is a single-piece solid carbide construction with no brazed joint, making it well suited for high-speed, precision turning operations in job shop and production machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for 3/8 inch bore grooving toolholders used in CNC turning and lathe operations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe indexed position before inserting or removing the tool. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible toolholder with appropriate set screws to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify tool projection and runout before initiating a cut.
