The ACCUPRO ACC-GF038-4 is a solid carbide full radius grooving tool designed for precision internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and boring machines. Built from submicron-grade carbide, it delivers consistent cutting performance in small-bore applications where tool rigidity and edge retention are critical. The 5/16 inch shank diameter and 2.5 inch overall length make it well-suited for shallow internal groove work. A 0.0385 inch groove width and 0.110 inch projection allow controlled material removal in tight geometries. Machinists and toolroom operators working in production or job-shop environments will find this tool effective for grooving bores down to 0.312 inch minimum diameter.
This grooving tool is intended for use in metal cutting applications requiring a full radius groove profile in small internal diameters. Installation and use of this grooving tool should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC lathe or boring machine operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing or setting tooling. Verify shank clamping torque and projection length per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the maximum hole depth of 0.250 inch to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
