The ACCUPRO ACC-G046-6 is a solid carbide retaining ring grooving tool designed for internal groove cutting operations in bores and holes. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers consistent performance in precision machining applications where groove geometry and dimensional accuracy are critical. The tool features a 3/8 inch shank diameter and cuts a groove width of 0.0470 inches, making it well suited for seating internal retaining rings in tight-tolerance bores. With an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard tool holders used on CNC lathes and boring setups. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this tool.
This grooving tool is used in precision machining environments where internal retaining ring grooves must be cut to exact specifications. It accommodates a minimum hole diameter of 0.3750 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.3750 inches, with a projection of 0.1100 inches. This tool is installed and used by machinists on lathes or CNC turning centers. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible 3/8 inch boring bar holder or tool block before operation and verify runout before cutting. Always stop the spindle and lock out the machine before changing or adjusting the tool. Do not exceed the tool projection or depth-of-cut limits stated for the workpiece material to avoid tool breakage.
