Manufactured from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it delivers tight tolerances and consistent surface finish in small-bore applications. The left-hand cutting direction suits specific toolholder orientations and back-boring setups. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.11 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches, this bar is suited for fine, close-tolerance work in small-diameter bores. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use it where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical.
This boring bar is intended for use in small-bore turning and boring operations across ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard boring bar holders and quick-change tooling systems configured for that shank size. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps overhang minimal, which reduces chatter and supports tighter tolerance outcomes. It is appropriate for production machining, prototype work, and tool room applications where fine bore sizing is required.

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine fully powered down and spindle locked. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified clamping torque for that holder system, minimizing overhang beyond what the bore depth requires. Verify cutting direction matches the spindle rotation and toolholder orientation before initiating a cut. A qualified machinist or toolroom technician should set and qualify the tool offset before running production parts.
