The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL080600 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it delivers consistent cutting performance in tight-tolerance bore work. The bar has a minimum bore diameter of 0.08 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.6 inches. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this is a compact tool suited for small-diameter, shallow bore applications. The left-hand cutting direction makes it appropriate for specific toolholder orientations and reverse-rotation setups.
This boring bar is used in production and job-shop machining environments where small-bore, high-precision internal turning is required. It is well suited for ferrous and non-ferrous materials where submicron carbide provides edge stability and surface finish quality. Typical applications include finish boring of housings, bushings, and small hydraulic or pneumatic components. The bright coating keeps the tool free of additional surface layers, which preserves dimensional accuracy at the cutting edge.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling solution for 1/8 inch bore bar toolholders used in small-diameter internal turning applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible 1/8 inch bore bar holder and verify runout before cutting. Confirm the left-hand cutting direction matches the spindle rotation and toolholder orientation of the machine before engaging the workpiece. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing or adjusting tooling.
