The ACCUPRO ACC-BB360900G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this bar delivers superior edge retention and dimensional stability compared to high-speed steel alternatives. The TiN finish coating reduces friction and extends tool life in continuous and interrupted cuts. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.9 inches, it handles tight-tolerance small-bore work where rigidity and runout control are critical. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians working in job shops or production environments will find this bar suited to finishing and semi-finishing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This boring bar is used in applications requiring accurate small-bore sizing, including hydraulic valve bodies, pump housings, fixture components, and precision bushings. The right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard forward-rotation lathe setups. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits common boring bar holders and quick-change toolpost systems used in both manual and CNC turning operations. It is packaged individually and suited for single-station tooling setups or use as a replacement in an existing toolholder configuration.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling solution for standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders used in CNC and manual turning center applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the lathe spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and tighten set screws evenly to prevent deflection under cutting load. Verify bore alignment and tool stick-out before taking a test pass, as excessive overhang beyond recommended ratios will increase chatter risk with carbide tooling.
