The ACCUPRO ACC-BB360500G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal diameter boring operations on lathes and turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this bar delivers excellent wear resistance and edge retention when machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a right-hand cutting direction, a 3/8-inch shank diameter, and an overall length of 2.5 inches. The 0.36-inch minimum bore diameter and 0.5-inch maximum bore depth make it well suited for small-bore finish and semi-finish turning work. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tooling.
This boring bar is intended for use in small-bore internal turning applications where tight tolerances and a quality surface finish are required. The micrograin carbide substrate resists chipping under interrupted cuts and at higher surface speeds. It fits standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders commonly found on manual lathes, CNC turning centers, and turret lathes in job shop and production environments. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both light production runs and precision one-off work.

Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank firmly in a matched 3/8-inch boring bar holder and verify that tool overhang is minimized to reduce chatter. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or adjusting tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended depth of cut for the workpiece material being bored.
