The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3602500G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiN finish coating, it delivers consistent cutting performance and extended tool life in demanding production environments. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 2.5 inches, making it well suited for small-diameter, deep-bore applications. With a 3/8-inch shank diameter and a 4-inch overall length, it fits standard boring bar holders used in most turning setups. Machinists and tooling technicians are the primary users.
This boring bar is intended for right-hand cut operations in metalworking applications including job shops, production machining, and tool rooms. It performs well in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials where micrograin carbide tooling is the appropriate choice. The TiN coating adds surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, helping maintain dimensional accuracy over longer run times. Typical applications include finish boring of hydraulic components, valve bodies, pump housings, and similar precision-machined parts requiring tight bore tolerances.
Designed as a replacement or spare boring bar for turning centers and CNC lathes equipped with standard 3/8-inch shank boring bar holders. Confirm minimum bore diameter clearance and maximum depth requirements against your specific toolholder and workpiece before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the boring bar from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the toolholder manufacturer's recommended torque before cutting. Inspect the cutting edge for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fail without visible warning if run with a damaged edge.
