The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3601800G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this bar delivers superior hardness and edge retention compared to standard carbide grades, making it well suited for tight-tolerance bore work in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. It features a titanium nitride (TiN) finish coating to reduce friction and extend tool life. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.8 inches, this bar handles a range of small-bore applications with consistent dimensional accuracy.
This boring bar is intended for use in production machining, job shop, and toolroom environments where accurate bore sizing and surface finish are critical. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard spindle rotation on most lathes and boring setups. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits common boring bar holders and quick-change tooling systems. At 2.5 inches overall length, it is compact enough for tight setups while providing adequate rigidity to minimize chatter. Machinists and CNC programmers working on small-diameter bores will find this bar useful for both roughing and finishing passes.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or addition for standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders used in CNC turning centers, engine lathes, and manual boring setups requiring right-hand internal cutting tools.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the minimum recommended engagement depth to maximize rigidity and reduce chatter. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and running initial test cuts.
