The ACCUPRO ACC-BB320900 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, this bar handles tight-tolerance bores starting at 0.32 inches minimum diameter and reaching depths up to 0.9 inches. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length suit compact tool holders and smaller-bore applications where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this bar when finish quality and positional accuracy inside a bore cannot be compromised.
This boring bar is suited for production and job-shop environments where small-diameter internal features require repeatable results. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard forward-feed turning operations. Its submicron carbide substrate resists chipping and wear in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, making it a practical choice for steel, aluminum, and cast iron bores where surface finish and diameter control are the primary concerns.
Designed as a standard right-hand boring bar for use in turning centers and lathes equipped with 3/8-inch boring bar holders or compatible quick-change toolpost systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder to the recommended minimum clamping depth to prevent deflection and chatter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the lathe is powered down before changing or adjusting the boring bar. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 0.9 inches, as overextension increases the risk of tool deflection and workpiece damage.
