The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3201000 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal diameter boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish coating, it delivers consistent cutting performance and dimensional accuracy in tight-tolerance applications. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1 inch, making it well suited for small-diameter finish boring work. With a 3/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard boring bar holders used in light to medium turning setups. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments where small-bore internal turning is required. It is appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where submicron carbide grade tooling is specified for fine surface finish and long tool life. Typical applications include finishing bores on small components such as bushings, hydraulic valve bodies, and precision housings. It is sold and packaged as a single unit and is a direct stock item for job shops, production facilities, and toolroom applications requiring small-diameter boring capability.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide boring bar for use in standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders and tooling blocks on CNC lathes, manual lathes, and machining centers configured for internal turning operations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the boring bar from its holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the specified holder torque per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Inspect the cutting edge for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if seated improperly or used beyond its serviceable condition.
