The ACCUPRO ACC-BB2901500G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and consistent surface finish in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.29 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches, making it well suited for small-diameter, shallow-to-moderate depth applications. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length keep the setup compact and rigid for tight-tolerance work.
This boring bar is intended for machining shops, tool rooms, and production environments where precise bore geometry and repeatable finish are required. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional turning setups. It is a fit for machinists working on small components requiring accurate inside diameter control, such as bushings, sleeves, and hydraulic fittings.
Designed as a direct-fit boring bar for tool holders accepting a 5/16-inch shank diameter on CNC or manual turning centers configured for right-hand cutting.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard turning center tooling procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the boring bar from the tool holder. Ensure the shank is fully engaged and clamped to the specified holder torque per machine manufacturer guidelines. Verify runout with a dial indicator before taking the first cut.
