The ACCUPRO ACC-BB230800G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiN (titanium nitride) finish coating, this bar delivers consistent cutting performance in tight-tolerance bores. It handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.23 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.8 inches, making it well suited for small-diameter work where rigidity and edge retention are critical. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional lathe setups. At 0.125 pounds, the bar is lightweight and easy to handle during tool changes.
This boring bar is intended for machining shops, tool and die operations, and production turning environments. It fits standard tool holders with a 5/16-inch shank diameter and is commonly used when boring small features in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The micrograin carbide grade supports work in steel, aluminum, brass, and cast iron. It is a practical choice for machinists running short-run jobs or production runs where hole diameter consistency and surface finish quality are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit boring bar for standard 5/16-inch shank boring bar holders used in CNC and manual turning center applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before inserting or removing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the holder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure to prevent chatter or tool pull-out during the cut. Inspect the cutting edge for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if run with a damaged edge.
