The ACCUPRO ACC-BB2301400G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this right-hand cut bar delivers rigidity and wear resistance in demanding metal-cutting applications. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.23 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.4 inches. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it a compact, high-performance tool suited for small-bore work. A TiN (titanium nitride) finish coating improves surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. Machinists and toolroom operators working in production or job-shop environments will find this bar appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This boring bar is used in turning operations where tight bore tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. Its compact overall length and small minimum bore diameter make it well suited to small-part turning on manual lathes, CNC turning centers, and turret lathes. Typical applications include finish-boring holes in workpieces made of steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar machinable materials. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional lathe setups where the spindle rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the tailstock end.
Designed as a direct-fit boring bar for lathe tool holders and turret blocks accepting a 5/16-inch round shank, suitable for use on both manual and CNC turning equipment configured for right-hand cut tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or adjusting the boring bar. Seat the shank fully in the tool holder and torque the clamping screws per the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Verify bore diameter and depth settings with appropriate gauging before running production cuts.
