The ACCUPRO ACC-BB2301100 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish coating, this right-hand-cut bar delivers consistent dimensional accuracy in small-bore applications. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.23 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.1 inches, making it well suited for tight-tolerance blind and through-bore work. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length keep it compact and rigid for reduced deflection at depth.
This boring bar is used in production and job-shop turning environments where small-bore precision is required. Typical applications include finishing bores in aluminum, steel, stainless, and cast iron workpieces. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard lathe spindle rotation. Machinists and CNC operators working with small-diameter internal features will find this bar a direct fit for toolholders accepting a 5/16-inch round shank. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both prototype runs and repetitive production cycles.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or add-on boring bar for toolholders accepting a 5/16-inch round shank in CNC and manual turning applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the full recommended engagement depth to minimize overhang and deflection. Verify boring bar centerline height relative to the workpiece centerline before initiating a cut.
