The ACCUPRO ACC-BB2001200 is a submicron solid carbide boring bar engineered for internal bore finishing operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.2 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.2 inches (1-13/64 inches), making it well suited for small-diameter, relatively deep bores. The 1/4-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length fit standard quick-change and collet-style toolholders. A bright finish coating is applied to the flute and shank. Right-hand cutting geometry is standard. Submicron carbide grade delivers consistent edge retention in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where tool deflection and chatter must be minimized.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments including job shops, production turning cells, and tool rooms. It is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on small bores in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The right-hand cut orientation is compatible with conventional spindle rotation on most CNC turning and mill-turn platforms. Machinists and CNC operators working on tight-tolerance bore applications will find the submicron carbide construction appropriate for maintaining dimensional accuracy across repeated passes.
Designed as a direct-fit boring bar for standard 1/4-inch shank toolholders used on CNC lathes, mill-turn centers, and manual toolroom lathes requiring small-bore internal turning capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the boring bar from the toolholder. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum clamping depth per the toolholder manufacturer specifications to reduce overhang and deflection. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cutting passes.
