The ACCUPRO ACC-BB1801250 is a submicron solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on lathes and machining centers. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.18 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.25 inches, this bar is suited for tight, small-diameter finishing work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The bright finish reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. A 1/4-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make this a compact, rigid tool well matched to CNC and manual turning applications.
This boring bar is used in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments requiring close-tolerance internal diameters in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Right-hand cutting direction suits standard lathe setups. The submicron carbide grade provides wear resistance and edge stability for consistent surface finishes across repeat passes. Machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers and users of this tooling.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-install boring bar for any lathe, CNC turning center, or machining center equipped with a tool holder accepting a 1/4-inch round shank boring bar.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or adjusting the boring bar in the tool holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped securely to minimize runout and chatter. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines for tool overhang and depth of cut limits when boring at or near the maximum depth rating.
