The ACCUPRO ACC-BB1801100 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for tight-tolerance internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, this bar delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for precision bore work in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. The right-hand cutting direction suits the majority of standard lathe setups. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.18 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.1 inches, it is well suited for small-diameter, shallow-to-mid-depth bore applications where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This boring bar is a practical choice for job shops, production machining facilities, and toolroom applications requiring repeatable bore geometry in small-diameter workpieces. The 0.25-inch shank diameter fits standard boring bar holders and quick-change toolpost systems commonly found on bench lathes and CNC turning centers. The 2.5-inch overall length keeps overhang manageable, reducing chatter and deflection at depth.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a full stop and lockout-tagout procedures applied. Ensure the shank is seated fully and clamped evenly in the boring bar holder to minimize runout. Avoid excessive overhang beyond the rated bore depth, as this increases deflection and reduces surface finish quality. Verify tool clearance angles and depth stops before initiating a cut.
