The ACCUPRO ACC-BB1801000 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish coating, this bar delivers consistent dimensional accuracy in tight-tolerance bore applications. It accepts a 1/4 inch shank diameter and has an overall length of 2.5 inches, making it well-suited for compact toolholders and small-bore work. The right-hand cutting direction and 0.18 inch minimum bore diameter allow machinists to open up small features with control and repeatability.
This boring bar is intended for shops and production environments requiring precise bore finishing in small diameters. It is commonly used on CNC turning centers and manual lathes for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured before inserting or removing the bar. Confirm shank clamp torque meets the toolholder manufacturer specification and that the bar is seated to the correct overhang for the target bore depth. Do not exceed the 1 inch maximum bore depth rating, as excess overhang reduces rigidity and increases the risk of tool deflection.
