The ACCUPRO ACC-BB160750 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish coating, it delivers tight tolerances and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bar supports a minimum bore diameter of 0.16 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 0.75 inches. With a 3/16-inch shank diameter and a 2-inch overall length, this compact tool fits standard tool holders used in light-duty and precision boring work. It is a right-hand cut configuration.
This boring bar is suited for small-diameter internal boring where rigidity and precision are critical. Typical applications include finish boring of small holes in turned components, die work, and fixture machining on CNC turning centers or manual engine lathes. The submicron carbide grade performs well in both interrupted and continuous cuts at moderate to high surface speeds. Designed as an OEM-style boring bar compatible with tool holders accepting a 3/16-inch round shank, suitable for CNC turning centers and manual lathes configured for small-diameter internal boring.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the full recommended engagement depth to minimize overhang and chatter. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the boring bar. Verify runout and tool stick-out before initiating a cut, and never exceed the recommended bore depth of 0.75 inches.
