The ACCUPRO ACC-BB1601000A is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiAlN finish coating, it handles tight-tolerance bore work where rigidity and wear resistance are critical. The bar has a minimum bore diameter of 0.16 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1 inch. A 3/16-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length make it suited for small-bore applications. Right-hand cutting geometry determines proper orientation at setup. Machinists and tool-room technicians working in precision metalworking are the primary users.
This boring bar is intended for small-bore internal turning in production and job-shop environments. Its micrograin carbide construction performs well in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where fine finishes and tight diametric tolerances are required. The TiAlN coating extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and abrasive wear at the cutting edge. At 0.16 inches minimum bore, it addresses bore diameters that standard indexable tooling cannot reach. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool-room technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or adjusting the boring bar in its toolholder. Secure the shank fully within the holder to minimize overhang and reduce deflection. Verify cutting direction and tool height at centerline before initiating a cut.
