The ACCUPRO ACC-BB120800G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal diameter machining on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this bar delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance bore finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A titanium nitride (TiN) finish coating reduces friction and extends tool life between regrinds. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.12 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.8 inches, this tool is well suited for small-diameter, shallow-bore applications. Right-hand cutting geometry makes it compatible with standard turning setups without additional toolholder modification.
This boring bar is used in production and job-shop environments where consistent bore accuracy is required in small components such as valve bodies, hydraulic fittings, bushings, and precision mechanical assemblies. Its compact 3/16-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length allow it to fit standard small-bore toolholders and quick-change turrets on light-duty CNC and manual lathes. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with small-part turning operations will find this bar appropriate for finishing passes requiring dimensional consistency.
Designed as an OEM-style tooling solution for standard small-bore turning applications using toolholders sized for a 3/16-inch shank diameter on CNC and manual lathes.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified minimum clamping length to prevent deflection during cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all axis motion is locked before mounting or removing the boring bar. Do not exceed the tool's rated bore depth or diameter range, as doing so can cause tool breakage and workpiece damage.
