The ACCUPRO ACC-BB110400A is a micrograin solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.11 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches, this bar handles tight, shallow bore work where rigidity and edge retention are critical. The TiAlN finish coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length make it well suited to small-bore applications where clearance is limited. Machinists and CNC operators select this bar for detailed finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This boring bar fits residential and commercial machine shop environments, production turning operations, and toolroom applications. It is intended for use in standard boring bar holders or tool blocks that accept a 1/8-inch round shank. The right-hand cutting direction is the standard orientation for conventional lathe setups where the spindle rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the tailstock. Typical applications include producing precise internal diameters in aluminum, steel, stainless, and similar machinable materials where bore size and surface finish tolerances are tight.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard toolroom boring bar for any toolholder or boring bar block accepting a 1/8-inch round shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the full recommended clamp engagement depth to prevent chatter and tool pull-out during cutting. Inspect the cutting edge and TiAlN coating for chips or wear before each use and replace the bar if edge integrity is compromised.
